Uncharted

“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth”

That’s how the bible begins and many Christian doctrines can be traced from just that verse. It is profound that the bible doesn’t begin by introducing that there is a God, but it begins by establishing the fact that all that we see was created by God because it is impossible to look at the world and creation and not come to a conclusion that it must have been created, obviously, there was a creator I mean, if you are taking a walk in a jungle and amid the most secluded place you find a painting, the first thought isn’t that “wow the tree grew a painting”, the first thought would be “okay weird, who painted this?”, and so where there is a creation, there is a Creator.

“For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:” Romans 1:20.

We therefore as the created have been given intelligence and knowledge, the zeal to discover the unknown. Through the knowledge that has accumulated throughout the ages, we can do certain things that were thought of as impossible by our forefathers.

*Who ever thought that man would ever soar through the sky like an eagle in a metal bird ?

*Who ever thought that man could ever explore the depth of the sea through a submarines ?

*Who ever thought that two people from opposite sides of the world could communicate with each other almost face to face in real-time at the simple click of a button?

If it's medicine, who ever thought that we would ever be able to manipulate the genes of that which is living? Not to even begin the discoveries in physics. But remember “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth”, a created world has rules and principles, and there are certain ideas that have been dreamed of by mankind (reminder created) that no matter how awesome those ideas are, would never be possible, because we are created.

 1 Time Travel

Books have been written and there is no shortage of movies on the screens that perpetuate the idea of time travel. I imagine how I was amazed the first time I watched the movie “Back to the Future”, I was fascinated by the idea of being able to go back to the past and affect the future by altering the past. Going back to a time when you were not yet born. Of course, there is no smoke without fire, the idea is gotten from our understanding of physics, “the speed of light” but if only time was that simple to manipulate. It is impossible for time travel to ever be possible no matter how advanced we become simply because time only moves forward and time travel would destroy the fundamental principles of Christianity, the truths we hold dear. There is only one being that can tell the future from the past, one not limited by time because He created time. “in the beginning”, if God did create everything then He alone will not be limited by the rules of time, space, matter or any physical laws that govern our universe as we know it.

Isaiah 41:21 Produce your cause, saith the LORD; bring forth your strong reasons, saith the King of Jacob. 22 Let them bring them forth, and shew us what shall happen: let them shew the former things, what they be, that we may consider them, and know the latter end of them; or declare us things for to come. 23 Shew the things that are to come hereafter, that we may know that ye are gods: yea, do good, or do evil, that we may be dismayed, and behold it together.

Isaiah 42: 8 I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images. 9 Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth, I tell you of them.

The ability to fiddle with time only belongs to Him who created time and is not limited by it and therefore mankind will never be able to time travel.

2 Space travel and Interaction with aliens

This is also impossible and the reason cannot be summarized here but look out for the blog post with the title “Tomorrow War”.

3 Creation of life from nonliving material

He who spoke everything into existence holds the power to life, we don’t yet fully understand what life is and I don’t think we can ever fully understand it. We can give it a definition; we can try to describe it but ultimately there is a reason why once it's gone we cant restore it. We can fiddle around with science and manipulate genes and all that but we will NEVER be able to create life or even restore it once it's truly gone, because that power only belongs to the Creator of it. Watch out for “Berzerk”.
